These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Motorlytics ("the Service"), a web application designed for Porsche 911 Type 996 and 986 Boxster owners. The Service is offered under a Free plan with an optional 180-day free Premium Trial; planned Premium pricing is $4.99/mo when available. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Service Description & Tiers
Motorlytics offers a Free tier and an optional 180-day free Premium Trial for Porsche owners. The planned Premium price after trial availability is $4.99/mo:
- Free Plan
- Access to basic vehicle tracking and maintenance logs.
- Premium Trial
- Early adopters may activate 180 days of Premium Trial access inside the Service. No payment method is required for the current trial. Planned Premium pricing is $4.99/mo when available.
- No Auto-Renewal
- The current Premium Trial does not create a recurring subscription.
- Future Plan Changes
- Future paid plan details, if introduced, will be announced separately and will not be activated automatically.
2. No Warranty; Informational Use Only
The Service, including all data, cost forecasts, and failure statistics, is provided "as is" and "as available." Motorlytics does not guarantee that any data or risk indication is 100% accurate or applicable to your specific vehicle.
Important:
Motorlytics is a planning aid and does not replace professional mechanical diagnosis. You are solely responsible for all decisions regarding vehicle safety, maintenance, and operation.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motorlytics and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including engine failure, loss of vehicle value, or repair costs) arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the one (1) month preceding the event.
4. User Data & Accuracy
You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter. To maintain the integrity of our community statistics, you agree not to submit fraudulent or intentionally misleading failure reports. We reserve the right to remove data that appears to be bot-generated or malicious.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, bulk-extract, or reverse-engineer the Service's data or logic.
- Use the Service for any commercial vehicle appraisal or dealership purposes without written consent.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service.
6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States (State of Delaware), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms will be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in the United States.
7. Refunds
When Premium purchases are available, they are for digital access; all sales are final except as required by applicable consumer protection laws or for documented technical billing errors.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms as we introduce new features. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Security & Authenticator (Optional)
Motorlytics may offer optional two-factor authentication using an authenticator app (time-based one-time passwords) for accounts that sign in with email and password. Enabling this feature is not required to use the Service.
We recommend that you enable it when available, to better protect your account if your password is ever exposed or reused.
If you sign in with Google, the Service may not offer the same authenticator enrollment; see your Account area for applicable settings.
10. Third-Party Services
Motorlytics relies on third-party providers such as cloud hosting, managed database and authentication services. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
